Vishal Bhardwaj's latest release "Rangoon" has not been received well by the audience but actress Kareena Kapoor Khan feels that his films are a piece of art and go beyond box office numbers.
"Rangoon" features Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles.
Kareena, who has worked with Bhardwaj in "Omkara", says Bharadwaj's films are not typical commercial entertainers.
"Vishal Bhardwaj's films are like art, his films are like a painting. One either likes his films or they don't like it. His films are not like a commercial film that is going to cater to everybody's taste and sensibilities. He caters to a certain section of the audience and that is why some critics have revered it and called it a piece of art," Kareena told in an interview here.
"When you do a film with him you do with a lot of love for cinema... The actors get a lot of appreciation. I think some films are beyond box office collections."
At the special screening of "Rangoon" the "3 Idiots" actress couldn't stop heaping praise on the film and her actor husband Saif's performance.
Saif has not been enjoying a good run at the box office as his films have not done well commercially.
When asked about it, Kareena says, "Saif has been in the industry for 25 years. He is beyond success or failure of his movies."
Kareena will debut in the television space soon as she has been roped in as 'Feel Alive' ambassador for Sony BBC Earth in India.
