A Delhi-bound Vistara flight, operated with an A320 neo aircraft, returned to Ahmedabad following engine problems on Friday, according to the airline.
In a tweet, the airline said the flight had returned after take-off due to "some engine vibration".
The number of passengers in the flight could not be immediately ascertained.
In a statement, a Vistara spokesperson said the flight UK966 returned to Ahmedabad due to technical issues and that a ferry aircraft was arranged for the passengers to fly them to the national capital.
"Our Airbus A320 neo aircraft have engines made by a different manufacturer and are not affected by the engine issues that relate to the other engine choice," as per the tweet.
Vistara's A320 neos are powered by CFM engines.
The A320 neos with Pratt & Whitney engines of certain series have been been facing problems and some of such planes have been grounded.
