"We are the first private telecom operator to launch its services in Lachung. With this expansion, we have now covered more than 91 percent of population in Sikkim and 93.5 per cent in Rest of Bengal Circle," Anand Sahai, Business Head - Kolkata and Rest of Bengal, Vodafone India said.
The company in a statement said with this expansion, Vodafone would now cover approximately 369 towns and villages.
Vodafone has so far deployed almost 181 cell sites across the state and 7150 approximately across the rest of Bengal circle and continues to expand its network.
