Vserv offers users top ups for talk-time, SMS on watching ads

Mobile advertising exchange Vserv.Mobi today launched a solution that allows prepaid customers to top up their phone account for talk-time, SMS and Internet access in exchange for watching advertisements and downloading applications, among others.
The solution also helps brand advertisers reach prepaid users, which comprise about 90 per cent of the overall user base, Vserv.Mobi CEO and Co-founder Dippak Khurana told PTI.
"With SmartRewards ad format, advertisers can engage and cultivate brand loyalty among users by rewarding them for desired actions. On the other hand, this allows consumers to top up their prepaid mobile account in exchange for engaging with ads, downloading apps and other actions," Khurana said.

The company said it has a tie-up with prepaid virtual wallet Oxigen, which will be used for providing the top up amount to the user.
"The top up that consumers receive via SmartRewards will act exactly like regular paid top ups, allowing them to use it for making calls, sending texts or connecting to the Internet," the company said.
"The format acts as a value-exchange for the mobile ecosystem, which gives consumers free mobile top ups, presenting advertisers an opportunity to engage users like never before by rewarding them through impactful advertising," Khurana added.
