"Our government wanted international airport at Agra and had offered the land for the same, but the Centre is not approving it," state Tourism Minister Om Prakash Singh said in the state Assembly here.
Singh was speaking in the House during Question Hour in a reply to a question raised by BSP member Dharmpal Singh.
The member sought to know from the government about its policy to attract more tourists in the state.
The minister said that as far as foreign tourists were concerned, UP was number three in the country and number two on the domestic tourist front.
