No leave would be granted for government employees on the day, according to a circular issued by Chief Secretary Samar Ghosh.
A pay cut would be effected in case of leave of absence without specific reason, secretariat sources said.
The state government had effected pay-cut in salaries of government employees who were absent during the February 28 countrywide general strike called by left trade unions.
