WB guv mourns Kidwai's death

West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi today expressed grief over the death of Padma Vibhushan Dr A R Kidwai, former Governor of Bihar and West Bengal.
In his condolence message, Tripathi said Kidwai was an educationist and started his career as professor in the department of chemistry at Aligarh Muslim University and later on became its first elected chancellor.
Kidwai also served as UPSC Chairman. He later on also served as governor of Rajasthan and Haryana. He was a member of Rajya Sabha between 2000 and 2004 and distinguished himself in the fields of education and social welfare, the Governor said in a message released from Raj Bhawan here.
