Pakistan's former captain and the manager of the national side, Moin Khan has warned his wards to be wary of India when they meet in the World T20 Cup in Bangladesh next week.
"It was a big morale booster for us when we beat India in the Asia Cup but I think the Indians will be far more dangerous this time and we have to be at our best to beat them," Moin told PTI before the team embarked for Dhaka.
The former wicketkeeper-batsman pointed out that India would be strengthened with the return of Mahender Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh.
"They will be a more formidable side in the T20 format and will be looking for revenge so it is going to be a tough game for both teams," he said.
Moin added that any Indo-Pak game was a high pressure one but next week's match would be very important as it would set the tone for both teams in the World T20 Cup.
Moin said Pakistan was taking a very balanced and strong side for the World Cup and its bowling options remained its strongest points.
"There is no doubt we have plenty of riches in our bowling department but obviously there are concerns with the form of some of our senior bowlers who didn't bowl well in the Asia Cup," he said.
Moin said that he still had plenty of confidence that the bowlers, particularly Umar Gul, would strike form in the World T20 Cup.
The former Pakistan skipper admitted that the injury to flamboyant allrounder, Shahid Afridi was a matter of concern for the team.
"He is a very important cog in our limited overs teams and he is getting treatment in Lahore so hopefully he will join us before the India game. He got injured during the Asia Cup."
Moin said the team was in high spirits and would hopefully bring back good news for the nation.
The Pakistan team was given a warm send off last night in Lahore where the Pakistan cricket Board and some sponsors hosted a farewell dinner and function for the players.
