BRO and PWD personnel sped up repairing 47 roads in Chamoli district, including Rishikesh-Badrinath highway at Lambagad and Gopeshwar-Pokhri road at Hafla, which are still blocked by debris, Chamoli ADM Sanjay Kumar said.
If the weather remains clear like this the major roads are likely to be fully operational in ten days, he said.

Light to moderate rains occurred in isolated places in the state, MeT officials said.
Dunda in Uttarkashi received the maximum 20 mm showers but the rest of the places recorded negligible rainfall. Bageshwar received 6 mm rainfall, followed by Haridwar 4 mm and Badkot 3.8 mm, they said
There was no untoward incident reported from anywhere across the state, Disaster Management and Mitigation officials said.
