The jury panel under the chairmanship of Deepak Gupta, Former Secretary Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, had nominated Mittal for this prestigious award, the company said in a statement.
"It is truly a humbling experience and all credit goes to my entire team at Welspun Renewables who have worked so hard to make this a reality. Receiving recognition from key industry stakeholders has motivated us to set new benchmarks," Mittal said in the statement.
Welspun Energy has so far commissioned over 328 MW solar and wind capacities and over 703.5 MW capacity is under construction in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Punjab.
