At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in July edged up by Rs 2, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 1,605 per quintal with an open interest of 22,140 lots.
Likewise, the wheat for delivery in August traded marginally higher by Re 1, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 1,626 per quintal in 53,300 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in wheat futures to speculative buying.
