"I can assure you that all cases which come our way, they will be investigated with right spirit, right endeavor and with utmost sincerity and seriousness, and we try to do it expeditiously as well," CBI Director Anil Kumar Sinha told reporters here.
He was replying to a query on the mysterious deaths connected to Vyapam admission and recruitment scandal in Madhya Pradesh, investigation of which was handed over to CBI by the Supreme Court recently.
"It is too early to say anything on that because we have just taken up the case. We are investigating and, we are going to be investigating those cases," he stated.
Sinha said he maintained a policy of not bringing into the public domain information connected to investigations.
"I also have the policy that during the currency of the investigation I don't talk about the investigation because there are certain things that need not be brought into the public domain and I would like to follow that," he said.
On matters of capacity building and optimisation of CBI resources, Sinha said the premier investigating agency had signed MoUs with Analyst Bangalore and National Law School Bangalore.
To a question on the probe into the mysterious death of IAS officer D K Ravi, the CBI chief said it was on the verge of conclusion, but refused to divulge the time frame of it.
"We are investigating the case, and we are on fastrack. there are many things which have been investigated. We have almost come to the stage where it may get concluded soon."
The death of the upright officer, who during his tenure at Kolar had started a drive against sand mafia, led to a public outcry following which the state government transferred the case to CBI.
On the single digit lottery scam, Sinha said he hoped a decision will be taken soon. "A call has to be taken and I hope there will be a decision soon, and I would not be able to tell you the definite time frame on that, but definitely, you will get to hear about it," he said.
