A submission to this effect was made by state Advocate General AL Somayaji, when the PILs challenging appointment of TNPSC members came up today before the First Bench,comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice R Mahadevan.
The matter relates to a batch of petitions moved by DMK, Puthiya Tamizhagam and PMK challenging the appointment of 11 persons, including a former IAS officer, as members of Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) by Governor K. Rosaiah on January 31 last alleging that they had been chosen as they owed allegiance to ruling AIADMK.
