Will take all steps in interest of employees: Telangana CM

Highlighting the importance of power sector in development, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said his government would take all steps in the interest of employees.
Interacting with representatives of electricity employees unions, who came to thank him for his decision to regularise the services of outsourcing employees, Rao said it is the duty of his government to protect its employees, who often work putting their lives at stake at Singareni Collieries (mines) and other places, a release from his office stated.
Saying that he is "partial" towards the electricity employees, the CM stressed that functioning of the electricity department is important to the state's development.
In an apparent reference to some employees threatening strike, he said, "Employees often fight with the government on certain demands. But it should not be stretched beyond certain limits. How can anyone say that they will stop working?
"Telangana state has started getting a good name and Hyderabad's Brand Image is on the rise. It should be further enhanced. At this juncture, can we afford to damage the image? We have to settle the issues, if not once but having a series of discussions...
