Newly inducted Punjab Minister O P Soni here today said that he will work towards betterment of education system, which acts as a spinal cord of the state as well as the nation.
Releasing his vision for 2018 "Realities and the Reforms", the School Education Minister said that the biggest challenge in the state is the infrastructure development for elementary, higher and secondary education especially in the border and rural areas.
He said that filling of the vacant posts and balancing of the staff falls next. However,providing nutrition and books to students would begin along with the first stage, he added.
Bringing modernisation in education system would come after the state schools would have been upgraded in infrastructure to the tune of Model Schools of Chandigarh, the newly inducted Cabinet Minister said.
