In his new role, Gilles will be responsible for strengthening Wipro's presence in France by pursuing new business opportunities and growing its visibility in the region, the company said in a BSE filing.
He will be based in Paris and report to Christophe Martinoli, Vice President and Head of Continental Europe.
"France is a key focus area for Wipro and we expect to significantly expand our marketshare in the region," Martinoli said.
Gilles has over 20 years of professional IT experience and joined Wipro in 2009. In the past seven years, he has assumed various roles including head of infrastructure management, global client partner and head of financial services and insurance business for Wipro in Continental Europe.
