India's third largest software services firm Wipro today said it has invested USD 2.02 million in Avaamo Inc, an artificial intelligence-based conversational computing platform.
"Strategic investment of USD 2.02 million in this tranche through further infusion of funds and conversion of convertible note issued earlier, taking the total investment to USD 3.02 million," Wipro said in a BSE filing.
The cash deal was completed on March 14, 2018, it added.
This would give Wipro a minority stake of less than 20 per cent on a fully diluted basis, it said.
Founded in 2014, Avaamo is an early stage company headquartered in Los Altos, US. It provides an AI driven enterprise bot platform that simplifies the time needed to design and deploy enterprise bots to corporate employees and their customers.
