Woman alleges rape, blackmail

A woman alleged that she was raped and blackmailed by a person, who has made her obscene video and threatened to post it on the internet, police said here today.
The victim came into contact with accused Abdul, who allegedly duped her of rupees two lakh, on the pretext of getting her an Aadhaar card issued.
Police said that when the victim pressurised Abdul to return the amount he called her to a secluded place in Purani area and allegedly raped her.
The accused also made an obscene video of the woman and started blackmailing her threatening to post it on the Internet, they said.

The victim lodged a complaint yesterday after which an FIR was lodged against Abdul, Deputy Superintendent of Police Atul Sonker said.
He said that efforts were being made to arrest the accused.
