Woman alleges rape by houseowner in Noida

A beauty parlour employee has alleged that she was drugged and raped by a Noida based houseowner in November 2015 when she was looking for a rented accommodation, the police said here today.
Following her complaint a case was registered at the Daryaganj police station and later transferred to Noida, the scene of the alleged crime, they said.
The woman has claimed that she was looking accommodation on rent and had in this regard gone to the Parthla village here, where she fell ill.
She alleged that she was quite unwell and the owner of the house offered to take her to a hospital. The women claimed that being unwell she decided to stay and next morning the man offered to take her to a Delhi hospital in his car.
The woman alleged that on the expressway near Amity University, the man began misbehaving with her. When she objected to his advances, he put piece of cloth on her face and she became unconscious, the woman is told the police officials.
According to officials, the woman claimed that on regaining consciousness, she found herself in the Surajkund area of Haryana.
"The woman lodged an FIR at the Darya Ganj police station in Delhi. As the scene of crime was in Noida, the case was transferred here," a police official said.
An FIR has been lodged at the sector 39 police station and a manhunt has been launched for the accused, he said.
