Woman attempts suicide after being abused by neighbour; makes

A 41-year-old homemaker allegedly attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills at her residence in Upperpally area here today after accusing her neighbour of abusing her, police said.
The woman, a tenant at an apartment in the area made a selfie video wherein she is seen putting something in her mouth and later drinking water before making accusations against one Syed Saleem, a member of their apartment association, who is also her neighbour of abusing her, they said.
The woman sent the video to her family members and noticing the same one of her relative went to her house, rescued her and got her shifted to Osmania General Hospital for treatment, police said.

The association had informed her on the hike in maintenance charges of the flat and Saleem allegedly abused her over the matter after which she lodged a complaint on October 21 against him, a police official attached to Rajendranagar Police Station said.
Based on the complaint a case was registered under relevant IPC sections.
"Today the complainant attempted suicide by swallowing sleeping tablets and made a video of the same and sent it to her family members, accusing Saleem of making comments against her on a social networking site," the police official said.
Now her condition is stable, police said, adding, they are verifying the allegations.
