In view of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, a drive has been launched to curb liquor smuggling in the capital, they said.
According to the police, the woman identified as Krishna, a resident of Jwalapuri area, was yesterday arrested by a police team which was patrolling in the and recovered 52 quarter bottles of Haryana-made liquor.
Krishna told police that she used to get good money by selling Haryana-made liquor when liquor outlets remained shut.
Shiv Kumar, a liquor smuggler, was also arrested from Punjabi Bagh and 18 bottles of Haryana-made liquor recovered from him.
