Woman burnt to death over dowry

Ombiri (28), who belonged to Dhaneda village in neighbouring Shamli district, was married to Kallu two years ago, police said, adding that her family got to know about her death yesterday.

In a written complaint they claimed that the woman was set afire for dowry after which her body was pulled out from the funeral pyre and sent for post-mortem.
