Police suspect that the woman, identified as Sandhya, took the extreme step due to marital discord.
"Sandhya married Prakash five years ago and it was her second marriage. It was Prakash's second marriage as well. There was an age difference of 12-13 years between Sandhya and Prakash and she wasn't happy with him," said a senior police officer.
She was alone at home this afternoon and allegedly set herself ablaze after locking herself.
She was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
Till now, her family hasn't alleged any foul play in her death, he said.
