A 28-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence in Indirapuram area here, police said today.
Poojta was married to Ranvijay Singh, a software engineer, in February this year and the couple stayed in a rented accommodation in Indirapuram area, they said.
According to the complaint, she had a dispute with Ranvijay last night as he did not allow her to visit her parental home.
"Following which she went to sleep and this morning her body was found hanging from the ceiling fan," police said.
Meanwhile, Poojta's family claimed that she could not commit suicide over such "petty" issue.
