Woman crushed to death by Army truck in Jalandhar

A school teacher was crushed to death by an Army truck while she was crossing a road in Bhagat Singh Colony area here, police said today.
Baljeet Kaur (32), hailing from Amritsar, while trying to cross the road, came under the wheels of a Kapurthala-bound Army truck and died on the spot, a police officer said.
The truck driver has been detained and his statement is being recorded, the officer said, adding an FIR in this regard has not been lodged yet and senior Army officials also rushed spot.
