Woman kills mother-in-law, buries body inside house

A woman had allegedly murdered her mother-in-law and buried the body inside her house in Bilaspur district, following which she was arrested today, police said.
Kamaljit Kaur, a widow, had allegedly killed Jash Kaur (85) after some altercation over land almost a week ago in Majri village. The body was buried inside the house and she spread a rumour that her mother-in-law has disappeared, police said.
Kamaljit's husband died three months ago and she was staying with her mother-in-law. When her sister-in-law Surinder Kaur called her up a few days ago, she was told that Jash had gone missing, a police official said.

Surinder filed a complaint in this regard. Jash's family members suspected some foul play, following which Kamaljit was interrogated, the official said.
She confessed to her crime and on the basis her information the body was exhumed from a room in her house, police said.
