An explosion at a the firecracker unit set up by one Idris in Dandepur village, killed his wife Zaibunissa and helper Bhupendra (14), ASP Ram Murat Yadav said.
Idris' daughter Shabnam (25) and his son Shanu (18) were injured in the explosion and admitted to a hospital in serious condition, the ASP said.
The owner had license to make crackers, Yadav said, adding a case has been registered and investigation was underway.
