A case under relevant sections of IPC was registered last night against the duo, whose names have been withheld, said Police Inspector D V Bandekar of Waliv police station.
The woman's husband started questioning about her illicit relationship. After this, the woman and her paramour killed the man on April 24, the officer said.
Following a complaint by the victim's brother, police rushed to the woman's residence where the body was kept. They took the body in their possession and sent it for post mortem. However, the duo, fled from the spot, Bandekar said.
