A case in this regard was filed against the duo at Kotwali City police station yesterday, following intervention of court.
According to the FIR, the woman was raped repeatedly by her brother-in-law Nadeem between January 7 and April 15. During this period, her husband used to assault her physically for dowry. They even forced her out of their house.
The complainant said she moved an application to Inspector and Senior Superintendent of Police, but they refused to lodge an FIR.
She then approached local court, which directed the police to register her case. The matter is being investigated and no arrest has been made so far, police said.
