The incident took place when the married woman was asleep with her children at her house on January 29.
Gopalram Jat barged into the house and threatened her with dire consequences if she raised an alarm. He then stuffed her mouth with a piece of cloth and raped her, police said.
Meanwhile, the victim's brother-in-law came to her rescue and caught hold of Jat. However, Jat's father threatened the victim and her brother-in-law not to lodge a police complaint or else face consequences.
A case of rape has been registered against Jat at the Deshnok police station and further investigations were underway.
