A group of assailants barged into the house of the victims last evening and opened indiscriminate fire, killing the two.
The victims have been identified as Sugan (51) and her son Kuldeep (30).
Sugan's brother Surender was injured in the attack and admitted to a hospital in Hisar.
Police have registered a case under various sections of the IPC.
