The woman, while deposing before Additional Sessions Judge Nivedita Anil Sharma in an in-camera proceeding, said there was a financial dispute between her and her friend Rekha Suri, also an accused, and she has got her money back.
The woman, in her complaint earlier, had alleged that she was raped by BJP MLA Umesh Aggarwal and his friend Sandeep Luthra at a Faridabad hotel and Rekha had abetted the crime.
Advocate Vaibhav Sharma, appearing for the BJP legislator, sought bail for his client saying he has not done anything wrong and was falsely implicated in the case.
The counsel argued that the MLA has fully cooperated with the probe agency and not tampered with any evidence.
According to court sources, the woman today said Rekha had borrowed Rs 50,000 from her last year and was not returning it. So she went with her to a hotel in Faridabad on January 3 where she was supposed get back the money.
Sources said during their quarrel over money, Aggarwal allegedly passed some comments which offended her. The next day she got an anonymous call after which she got scared and lodged a complaint at Hari Nagar Police Station, the sources quoted the victim as saying.
The prosecutor and DCW counsel Shubhra Mendiratta told the court that the woman was turning hostile and is likely to be cross-examined later by the prosecutor.
The court had earlier framed charges against Aggarwal and Luthra for alleged offences of rape, causing hurt by means of poison and criminal intimidation under provisions of the IPC.
