Kharge was addressing a function to mark inauguration of expansion of passenger amenities at Naugarh railway station.
He said the gauge change was being done at a cost of Rs 1,025 crore and so far, Rs 800 crore of the assigned fund has been spent on work.
Kharge said that for expansion of passenger amenities in 35 districts of North Eastern Railway, an additional allocation of Rs 35 crore has been made.
He said that the demands have been put before him regarding development of railway facilities in the backward eastern region of of Uttar Pradesh will be examined and fulfilled.
