Xavier School of Mgmnt to organise Verghese Kurien Mem Oration

Xavier School of Management will organise the first ever Dr Verghese Kurien Memorial Oration in memory of the founder of Amul Dr Verghese Kurien on September 8 at the XLRI campus here.
The event is aimed at inspiring budding and aspiring business leaders and young professionals to help shape an inclusive and just society whilst inculcating values and entrepreneurial spirit of the Father of White Revolution, a XLRI press release today said.
The oration is to be delivered by Dr P Sainath, journalist and Ramon Magsaysay Award winner for Journalism, Literature and Creative Communication Arts on "Unequal is Unsustainable," it said.

Fr. E Abraham, Director of XLRI said, "Instituting this oration is our humble endeavour to pay respect to the great visionary (Dr Kurien) by inspiring budding social entrepreneurs with his values and entrepreneurial spirit."
Nirmala Kurien, daughter of Verghese Kurien, would be also present on the occasion, the release added.
