Document management company Xerox India today said it would focus on introducing machines that consume less power and work more efficiently, while emphasising that the southern market continues to contribute almost 50 per cent of its business in the country.
"Absolutely, our long-term view will always be into power consumption as an overall thing. Because worldwide, there is corporate commitment to the environment, we should stay with green, we should protect the green and we should consume less power and thats about it" Xerox India Executive Director -- Technology, Channels and International Distributor Operations, Balaji Rajagopalan told PTI.
He was here to unveil the company's two new products 'Color Press 1000i' and 'C60 with FFPS DFS based on the Microsoft Windows platform' at the recently concluded Print Expo 2015 in Chennai.
On 'Color Press 1000i', Rajagopalan said, "With this new device and our existing portfolio of digital presses, we will storm the digital printing market and further consolidate our market share."
This product is priced between Rs 1.20 to Rs 1.50 crore.
Stating that Xerox is known for being environmental friendly, Rajagopalan said that the company in the last six months alone has launched several new products keeping the objective of power saving.
"For example, we launched a product that can print 100 pages per minute. First time in the entire industry of digital printing, we came up with 10D technology which is like HD quality and which we launched in last October" he said.
Also, the company introduced C60-C70 machines that consume only one third of the power that the machines of the competition does, he added.
