Y H Ramesh appointed as Pakur SP

Y H Ramesh was today appointed as the new police chief of Jharkhand's Pakur district, a day after his predecessor Amarjit Balihar was killed in an ambush by Maoists.
A 2010 batch IPS officer, Ramesh would take charge today, official sources here.
Hitherto posted as Tandua sub-divisional police officer in Maoist-hit Chatra district, Ramesh said his priority would be to bring the culprits to justice.
Balihar was killed along with five others in the attack in Dumka district yesterday.
