"When your body and mind are misused, they turn against you and then you cannot concentrate on anything else. You are not happy in your life because your fundamental faculties are not functioning properly," Sadguru, 58, said at 'Yoga: A force of transformation' talk yesterday organised by Indian mission here in collaboration with Asia Society, Texas Center.
He defined Yoga, its four paths and how physical postures represent small part of the framework of Yoga and asked people to look inward to the experiences within and how these are projected in their own mind to a packed audience of over 250 guests including India's Consul General in Houston P Harish.
"The point of life is to be joyful, because all people just want to be happy. If you do not know how to be blissful in your own nature, then you will never experience life to the full potential. But many people are unhappy, still learning until death how to handle their thoughts and emotions, never investing adequate time to understand themselves, ponder the deepest mysteries and to realise their place in the world.
