The body of the boy was found floating in Galta Pond here, they said.
A family from Kanota village approached the police to identify the boy who was missing from home since June 13 when he came for bathing in Galta pond with two other friends but did not go back, police said.
"We are verifying the antecedents of the boy," they added.
