Young entrepreneurs from small towns in Madhya Pradesh today shared how their strong urge not to work as an employee pushed them to set up businesses despite facing difficulties.
These entrepreneurs shared their success stories on the last day of the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) convention yesterday.
Owner of Supreme Electricals, Rishi Gupta, said, "Instead of becoming an employee, I decided to set up my own unit and today I am really happy that my company, which manufactures stabilisers, UPS and inverters, is providing employment to 20 people."
The convention had been opened by Union Minister for MSME, Kalraj Mishra and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on October 1.
Small town entrepreneur Vijay Nandan said that he faced lot of problems when he was doing a job. "But after coming to know about Pradhan Mantri Employment scheme, I applied for a loan and after Chouhan's intervention the case was approved," he said.
"Today, I am making exalt batteries and even visited Russia with the MSME Minister and displayed my products. The response was good and now I wish to expand the unit to generate 200 more jobs," he said.
A young entrepreneur of Itarsi has developed a support system for two-wheelers driven by special persons, which he claims provides "safest means of transportation" to them.
After tasting success in the start-up, he plans to expand the business to other parts of the state now.
Similar success stories were also narrated by entrepreneurs from Mandideep, Amit Yadav and Lalit Tiwari.
