Ravi Yadav, a student of BA (part II) in a college was arrested for raping his 21-year-old classmate and a resident of Qutubpur colony, police said.
Medical examination which was conducted today in the local civil hospital has confirmed the sexual assault, police said.
In her complaint yesterday, victim has stated that Ravi held out a false promise to marry and sexually exploiting her for the last about one year at his residence.
When she insisted for marriage, Ravi not only refused but also thrashed and threatened her, according to the complaint.
