The incident took place around 10 AM when head constable Sanjay was controlling traffic on Hapur Road near the district collectorate.
"When Sanjay was on duty, he noticed a parked car on the road causing hindrance to traffic movement. Sanjay then asked the car occupant, identified as Rambir, to remove it from the road. Rambir reportedly got angry and started assaulting him," said a police officer.
"Based on a complaint filed by Sanjay, a case has been registered against Rambeer at Kavinagar police station. Police have arrested him and sent him to jail," the officer added.
