According to police, Kulwant Singh, a resident of Gujjarpura village was arrested in connection with a criminal case, registered against him and his two accomplices Ravinder Singh alias Bill and Kanwal preet Singh alias Lucky on the charge of assaulting a labourer Ranjit Singh of same village on September 11.
Kulwant was lodged in the barrack of police station lock up when he tried to commit suicide by hanging himself inside a toilet, but police personnel saved him.
