The accused, identified as V Venu (22) created a fake Facebook account in the name of his cousin and uploaded obscene photos causing a lot of mental agony to the victim after which she lodged a complaint on November 10, they said.
During the course of investigation it came to light that the culprit is none other than the cousin of the victim.
"Venu hatched a plan to take revenge and with a view to tarnish the image of the complainant and created a fake Facebook account in her name. He uploaded her photo as the profile picture and also uploaded some obscene photos and sent friend requests to her relatives and friends," a police release said.
The accused was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
