Youth held for creating fake FB profile of cousin sister

A youth was today arrested for allegedly creating a fake Facebook account of his cousin sister and uploading some obscene pictures in a bid to take "revenge" on the victim following a feud between the two families, cyberabad police said.
The accused, identified as V Venu (22) created a fake Facebook account in the name of his cousin and uploaded obscene photos causing a lot of mental agony to the victim after which she lodged a complaint on November 10, they said.
During the course of investigation it came to light that the culprit is none other than the cousin of the victim.

According to police, the relations between both the families are strained due to which Venu bore a grudge against the victim's family.
"Venu hatched a plan to take revenge and with a view to tarnish the image of the complainant and created a fake Facebook account in her name. He uploaded her photo as the profile picture and also uploaded some obscene photos and sent friend requests to her relatives and friends," a police release said.
The accused was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
