allegedly stabbing his step mother today evening in the southern part of the city, police said.
Garfa police arrested 26-year-old Nabendu Biswas for allegedly stabbing his step mother Tandra Biswas (63) on her abdomen at his house on P Majumder Road, they said.
"The incident happened at around 4.30PM when the mother-son duo started quarreling over trivial issue," a Kolkata police officer said.
The woman was rushed to the Ruby Hospital where her condition was stated to be stable, he said.
