Youth shoots girl friend, kills self

Two youths committed suicide by slitting their throats in Medininagar in Palamau district while a youth shot dead his girl friend before killing himself in Tokad under Badgaon police station of West Singhbhum district.
According a report received from Medininagar, the police have recovered the bodies of the duo from the rooftop of a market complex near Belvatika Chowk in Medininagar in Palamau district today, police said.
The victims were identified as Chandan Kumar, a resident of Garwah district, and Rubi Kumari, a resident of Kumhartoli in Medininagar, police said adding the knife they used to kill themselves was also found.

The victims were students of the same computer coaching centre, sources said.
Superintendent of Police, Y S Ramesh told reporters that the police have recovered a suicide note from a bag found at the spot.
In an another incident, a youth shot dead his girl friend, an Intermediate student of the Women's College in Chaibasa, before committing suicide in Tokad village under Bandgaon police station in West singhbhum district on Sunday afternoon.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Chakradharpur) Alok Priyadarshi said preliminary investigations indicated the victims were having an affair and investigations were on.
A pistol, two live and two empty cartridges were recovered from the spot, he added.
