Youth shot dead over eve-teasing dispute

A 22-year-old youth was shot dead allegedly over an issue of eve-teasing in the Chajlait police station area here, police said today.
According to police, Omendra was shot dead last night by one Vinod while he was asleep at his residence.
The victim was rushed to the district hospital where he was declared brought dead, they said.
According to police station in-charge Akhilesh Pradhan, Omendra had recently confronted Vinod for eve-teasing his sister and had asked the accused to stop harassing her.
Police said that they have registered a case in the matter and a hunt is on for the accused.
