YSR Cong complains against Union minister Pallam Raju
Press Trust of India Hyderabad YSR Congress complained to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer alleging that Congress candidate from Kakinada Lok Sabha, Union Minister M M Pallam Raju, has violated election laws by canvassing in a government hospital though the time for campaigning ended.
"We would like to bring to your kind notice that Central Cabinet Minister Pallam Raju, a candidate from Kakinada Lok Sabha constituency contesting on behalf of Indian National Congress committed a serious offence by canvassing at Kakinada General Hospital today at 11.30 AM, less than 48 hours before voting for general elections ended," YSR Congress state co-ordinator PNV Prasad said in a complaint to the CEO.
He dermanded that Raju be disqualified from contesting for violating election laws.
YSR Congress also made separate complaints against actor N Balakrishna, who is contesting from Hindupur assembly seat in Anantapur district and Telugu Desam Party leader Y S Chowdary, for alleged violation of different laws.
Polling is scheduled in Seemandhra tomorrow for 175 assembly and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies.
