Amid the poll season, Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray will launch an outreach programme to "better understand" the aspirations and hopes of the youth of Maharashtra.

The programme, 'Aaditya Sanvad', is a two-way communication between the 28-year-old leader and the youth of the state, a statement said here Monday.

The Yuva Sena is the youth wing of the Shiv Sena.

The first phase of the event will be launched Tuesday in Aurangabad, around 325km from here in central Maharashtra, the statement said.

Thackeray will interact with youngsters from major cities like Mumbai, Nashik, Kolhapur and Pimpri-Chinchwad (Pune district) later this month, it said.

"Through this platform, Thackeray seeks to effectively lend his support in voicing the most pertinent youth-centric issues by shaping the public discourse around them," the statement said.

The Yuva Sena leader intends to reach out to 6 lakh youngsters directly and 15 lakh digitally through the programme to "better understand" them, it said.

The event is open for attendees, aged between 18 and 35, from Maharashtra, the statement added.

The programme coincides with four-phase polling for the 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state beginning from April 11.
