Zinc prices moved down 0.27 per cent to Rs 149.85 per kg in futures market today largely in tandem with a weak global trend.
In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in August contracts shed 40 paise, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 150.50 per kg, in a business turnover of 166 lots.
Metal for delivery in July also fell by a similar margin to trade at Rs 149.85 per kg in a business turnover of 1,065 lots.
Marketmen said weakness base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange (LME) as weaker oil prices heightened concerns over the health of the global economy mainly put pressure on zinc prices in futures trade.
