Reuters Market Eye - The BSE Sensex and Nifty edged higher on Friday as domestic-oriented stocks gained on continued hope of rate cuts and structural reforms.
The 30-share Sensex and the broader Nifty were up 0.14 percent at 10:43 a.m.
Kotak Mahindra Bank was up 1.5 percent while Larsen and Toubro rose 0.9 percent.
Shares in ITC were up 0.8 percent, adding to Wednesday's 5.5 percent surge on a likely hold on loose cigarette ban.
Overseas investors bought shares worth $76.73 million on Thursday, according to NSE data.
